I remember when Lake Horton was built. Archeologists came across Native American remnants prior to county work. Three and a half billion gallons of water replaced the little dirt road that carried us quickest toward town. Today it is known as Lake Horton Park and Reservoir.

It became more over the years. Boat ramps. Walking paths with mile charts. Stopping areas with benches and exercise regimes. Picnic area with a playground.

Natural wildlife abounds. Egrets, geese, ducks. Mostly fauna of this locale.

FYI: Fees are required for out of county vehicles.
