I do not recall where the idea of making almond butter in a coffee grinder arose (my mother says she deserves the credit). Maybe someone else out there has done the same. Traditionally, it seems many use a high speed blender. I prefer a coffee grinder.
Purely almond butter. Made without sweeteners, oils, or excess, this is a healthy snack to have at hand. I do add salt for flavoring, but it is not required.
- 1/4 c. Almonds.
- One dash salt.
- Place almonds in coffee grinder. Add salt. Grind on fine, or whatever is similar, until ground almond pieces form to a fine powder and then start clumping. Will likely need to keep pressing sides down at intervals as I did often. Grind until butter forms. See, super easy.
