Turmeric and ginger powder add a slight kick, in the healthy variety, to an otherwise ordinary fruit juice. Definitely not difficult or lengthy to make. Peeling oranges is the only time consuming aspect. And best of all, the eccentricities of this drink spice up life. Better to have explored an interesting horizon than the same ol’ same ol’, eh?
Cold Spiced Fruit Drink
Spice up ordinary fruit juice with turmeric and ginger powder!
- 2 peeled oranges
- 1 medium to large banana
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 ice cubes
- 1/8 t. turmeric powder
- 1/8 t. ginger powder
- optional: 1/4 c. coconut milk
- Add oranges, banana, water, turmeric and ginger to blender/food processor (and coconut milk, if using). Blend until oranges are completely ground into a juice.
- Add ice cubes and blend until ice is completely crushed. Should make a smooth, slightly thick cold drink.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy!
