Still enjoying my mother’s vintage photographs taken with a Nikon FM manual SLR, I decided to edit pictures of Greece. The date is 1988. Photography equipment has changed, evidenced by the grainy images, but something beautiful does not need razor sharp imaging. These have a paint-like quality, and I enjoy the aesthetic.
In my mother’s own words, Greece in 1988, was still similar to a thousand years ago. Waters and islands with historical architecture. The people were gregarious and full of life. Their craftsmanship was incredible. Well woven wool and leather work. She enjoyed the trip very much.
